Hello, this is Howard & Andrea Barker and we own Petties Paws. What started as an idea in 1998, has grown to a hugely successful family business with two of our children Sam and Jess now back home and working within the kennels and cattery full time. Our business is widely recognized throughout North Yorkshire. We care for a wide variety of pets .

We care for a wide variety of pets and pride ourselves in delivering our all inclusive quality care and attention that your animals deserve and need during their stay with us.We welcome all types of dogs from the very old, to young pups; from Great Danes to Chihuahuas; single dogs and family groups are always welcome.

Howard & Andrea - We own Petties Paws and first started up in 1998 and our business has successfully grown throughout the years.

Amanda is the kennel manager, she has almost 30 years experience working with animals . With qualifications in Animal care , Animal Behaviour and emergency first aid amongst others.

Sam - Our son works full time within the kennels and cattery, he also helps out on our busy livestock farm in his spare time.

Jess - Like Sam our daughter Jess also grew up around the kennels and cattery, Jess is currently at University studying dance so she helps out part time when she is home e.g. weekends and school holidays.

Olivia - Our youngest daughter also grew up within the kennels and cattery always keen to help. Olivia is currently still at high school, so she helps out part time when she isn’t at school.

Lauren - Lauren works for us part time mainly weekends and school holidays, she loves every breed of dogs and cats.

Megan - Megan works for us part time as she is currently at Harper Adams University studying animal veterinary physiotherapy BSc degree, so works when she is home e.g. school holidays and busy times.

Ellie - Ellie is also studying at Harper Adams in Rural Enterprise and Land Management. Like Megan, Ellie works part time when she is back from University.

Ruth - Ruth helps out in school holidays and in our busy periods, she studied up to level 3 in horse management at college.
